Hey everybody. Here's the brief little post that you can comment on for your evaluation of my micro teaching one. Thanks in advance!

  1. Hi Kevin, I thought your lesson on analyzing sources was great. This topic is very useful to teach because it gives meaning to anything a student reads and helps them uncover the underlying story. I thought that your presence was very good. It was easy to answer questions and I was comfortable participating in the discussion. Also, you chose artifacts that were from the same time period and told a story together. This helped me become engaged and alert because I could connect them. Overall, your lesson was strong, but may have benefited from some activities other than reading and responding, if I had to pick something.

  2. Hello Kevin. You did a great job with your history lesson. I especially enjoyed that you brought in and utilized sources from the Adams Library, as it made the lesson come more alive and gave us a more concrete connection to the history we were learning about. I know that in school I always loved when teachers brought in any type of artifact or article; it made the lesson more "real" to me, which is exactly what your article did for your lesson! I would suggest finding some way to make the class more interactive (with less reading) to make the lesson more memorable, but with your subject I know that this can be extraordinarily difficult. That said, your presence was great and you crafted your lesson together beautifully. Great job!
